  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet. Lightweight fabrics, old trainers, sandals or ‘crocs’. Avoid wellington Boots, flip-flops, jeans and heavy weight fabrics.

  • Our open-top canoes can seat either 2 or 3 individuals.

  • Yes, we welcome your well behaved dog as long as they remain in the canoe at all times, cause no disturbance to other river users, landowners and wildlife and as long as you are sure they will not compromise the safety of you and your fellow paddlers.

  • Fishing is not permitted anywhere on the River Wye without an appropriate licence and permit. No fishing from canoes. Fishing permits can be purchased from Goleswothys in Hay-on-Wye.

  • There is a weight limit to each craft of 40 stone.

  • We do not allow children under 10 to participate in the activity, unless there is special circumstances.

    We require a minimum of a 1:1 adult to child ratio.

  • For safety reasons, we do not accept solo paddlers.
