Celtic Canoes has been owned and run by Dave and Simon since 2005, both keen canoeists and outdoor enthusiasts. Between us we have many years experience canoeing, climbing, running and walking throughout the UK as well as in the Alps and Himalayas.
Dave has worked in the outdoor activities business for over 20 years instructing, leading and running courses. He is also a qualified RLSS Lifesaving Trainer\Assessor and St Johns First Aid Assessor.
Simon, along with his brother Martin, are both keen road and mountain marathon runners, competing in events like the Original Mountain Marathon (formally the KIMM) and the Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon. Simon has also competed in local and national orienteering events and at one time was the the British Orienteering Champion. Highlight of his paddling career so far has been paddling the big alpine waters of the French Alps.
Sam helps us out during the busy summer weekends and is an instructor at the Patterdale Centre in the Lake District. He has already made three cross Scotland canoe trips and is busy working his way up the coaching ladder.
